Emotional Regulation for Autism & ADHD: Why They Can’t ‘Just Calm Down'

This Live Webinar will teach you the science behind emotional overwhelm — and how to bring calm and connection to your home, classroom, or workplace.

Tuesday 28th October at 7.30pm AEDT (Sydney time)

Emotional Regulation Webinar (Live Event)

For parents, carers, and professionals supporting Autistic & ADHD children (ages 3 to young adult)

When emotions run high, it’s easy to think a child is being defiant or dramatic.
But for an Autistic or ADHD brain, “just calm down” isn’t possible — not until the nervous system feels safe.

Join counsellor Jackie Hall for a 2-hour live webinar that helps you understand the 'why' behind emotional dysregulation — and shows you exactly how to respond with calm, connection, and confidence.

Why This Webinar is Important

Emotional dysregulation isn't about willpower or misbehaviour. It's a nervous system doing its best to cope.

In this webinar, you'll explore the differences between Autistic and ADHD emotional regulation, why the same strategies don’t work for everyone, and how to create safety and predictability that helps the brain calm down.

You’ll walk away with real tools — not just theory — to change your child’s world (and yours).

Fantastic webinar , lots of helpful information and tips!   Even as a long time worker in Education, I found it very insightful.
Thank you ☺️

Very informative and interesting webinar.  It looks at the whole child and environment and addresses societal expectations and norms with a lens of challenging these views to better understand our children's needs whilst validating the challenges parents and caregivers.  Well worth it!

I have to say, as an AuDHD adult, with Autistic kids, I'd highly recommend the Parental Stress Centre. I went in with very low expectations - but it was neuroaffirming, trauma informed and really great.

I'll definitely be looking at the professional development and other courses.

Meet Your Webinar Host:  Jackie Hall

Hi, I’m Jackie — a professional counsellor, trauma specialist, and founder of the Parental Stress Centre. Over the past 17 years, I’ve supported thousands of parents through complex emotional challenges like anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, and burnout — and for the past four years, I’ve specialised in working with families raising Autistic children.

More than 7,500 families have participated in our autism programs, and over 34,000 people have attended our live webinars — each bringing their own story, their own questions, and their own version of what it means to raise or support a neurodivergent child.

That kind of reach has given me a rare, wide-angle lens. While most professionals work with a handful of families at a time, I’ve had the privilege of listening deeply to thousands — noticing the patterns in behaviour, what consistently helps, and what often doesn’t.

I also hold a Certificate III in Education (specialising in Autism), which has given me practical, classroom-informed insight into how neurodivergent students learn, communicate, and regulate differently. Combined with my extensive trauma training — spanning depression, anxiety, addiction, and eating disorders — I bring a whole-child, whole-family perspective that helps bridge the gap between emotional wellbeing and meaningful support strategies.

This training combines neuro-affirming insightbrain-based tools, and a whole-family approach to emotional regulation — helping you feel empowered, not exhausted.

Whether you’re a parent, teacher, or professional, this session will help you understand the why behind behaviour — and support children in a way that feels safer, calmer, and more effective for everyone.
